Pick your photos

Up to 30 at a time, through Android's own picker. Pressly only ever sees the photos you hand it.

Say how small

Drag the quality slider, or set a hard ceiling — under 500 KB, under 2 MB, or a number you type in.

Check, then save

Drag the divider across the before and after. Happy with it? Save. If not, nothing was written.

Controls that mean something.

  • ≤ A size cap is a real capAsk for under 500 KB and the engine searches quality down, then resolution, until it genuinely fits. If it can't get there, it says so rather than handing you an oversized file.
  • ↺ Your originals are never touchedPhotos are opened read-only. Compressed copies go to a separate Pictures/Pressly album.
  • ◎ Location data comes off by defaultPhotos quietly carry the GPS coordinates of where you took them. Pressly strips that, and lets you inspect what a photo is carrying first.
  • ⌁ Lock your phone mid-batchThirty photos take a while. Pressly keeps working when you switch away, and tells you when it's done.

What Pressly doesn't do.

Worth saying plainly, because most free photo tools do at least three of these.

No account, everThere's no sign-in screen. There's nowhere to sign in to.
No ads, no trackingNo analytics, no crash reporting, no “anonymous usage data”.
No internet permissionPressly doesn't request it, so Android itself won't let the app open a connection.
No AVIF, and we'll say whyAndroid still ships no AVIF encoder at any version. Rather than hand you a file with the wrong extension, Pressly leaves it out.
Nothing held backEvery format, every preset, every batch size, free.
No deleting your photosPressly can't remove or overwrite anything in your gallery, by design.

The whole privacy policy, in one line.

Pressly collects nothing and sends nothing, because it has no network access to send anything with. Your settings and history sit on your phone and leave when you uninstall.
